Rewrite any chord chart into a comfortable key
Free online chord transposer: paste any chord progression and shift it up or down by semitones to fit a vocal range. Chord qualities and slash chords are preserved, lyrics stay aligned.
What Is a Chord Transposer?
A chord transposer rewrites a chord progression into a different key without changing the song itself. Every chord on a page is a root note plus a quality (major, minor, seventh, suspended, and so on). Transposing means sliding every root note up or down by the same number of semitones while leaving the qualities alone. If a song is in C and you shift it up two semitones, C becomes D, G becomes A, Am becomes Bm, and the whole progression moves to D major with exactly the same feel.
That is useful because recorded keys rarely match the singer in front of you. A track written for a soprano sits too high for an alto; a guitar capo at fret 3 means the written chords are not the sounding chords. Instead of rewriting the chart by hand, you paste it in, drag a slider, and read off the new progression.
